Screen Time and reports
App blocking is not working
If a selected app is still available during a quiet session, try these checks in order.
Refresh the blocking system
- Open Settings in Nothing Hour and tap Help.
- Tap Refresh blocking system.
- Start a new quiet session after the refresh if you are not already in one.
Check Screen Time access
If access was removed, Nothing Hour cannot apply restrictions or start another session.
- In Nothing Hour, open Settings.
- Tap Screen Time and essentials.
- Tap Allow Screen Time access and follow the iOS prompt.
Check the selected apps and essentials
- App restrictions apply during a quiet session, after you complete setup and tap Start.
- Apps and websites in your essentials list remain available. Check that the app you expect to block was selected and is not listed as essential.
- You can select up to 50 individual apps and 50 websites as essentials.
If an app stays blocked after a countdown
At the countdown deadline, Nothing Hour stops counting the session and asks Apple’s Screen Time system to release restrictions. iOS may process that change when the iPhone is used again, so the release may not happen at the exact second while the phone is asleep. Reopening Nothing Hour is not required to clear a completed session.
